Adele LaTourette, Director of NJAHC, has headed the program (formerly known as the Statewide Emergency Food and Anti-Hunger Network/SEFAN) since its inception in 1980. She is a leading voice in New Jersey’s anti-hunger and nutrition community and serves as a resource to emergency food coalitions throughout the state. Ms. LaTourette is also the 2007 Winner of the prestigious Wheeler/Wellstone Award; given by the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC) in Washington, DC. This national award is given annually by FRAC to the person it deems to be the leading anti-hunger advocate in the nation.
Ms. LaTourette is the convener of the Mid-Atlantic Anti-Hunger Coalition, past Chair of the WIC Advisory Council and Solutions to End Poverty Soon (STEPS) and past president of the New Jersey Food Stamp Advisory Committee.

Lisa Pitz, Coordinator of Outreach and Education, has been with NJAHC since 2002. Ms. Pitz has an MSW in Community Organizing and Program Planning, and has been working on issues pertaining to hunger and homelessness for over 10 years. Ms. Pitz is a member of the Anti-Poverty Network and Mid-Atlantic Anti-Hunger Coalition.
